Over the last five years I’ve travelled around Dumfries and Galloway and filming it from the sky.
I decided to put together a montage called “Flight over Dumfries and Galloway” of the following locations:
Dalveen Pass, Clatteringshaws, Murray’s Monument, Dunscore, Glentrool, Dalswinton Barony Church, Kirkcudbright, Loch Ken, Morton Castle, Rockcliffe, Southerness, Twelve Apostles (standing stones), Sandyhills and Maxwelton Chapel.
I also wrote the music and created a soundscape to accompany the video which you can download, share and use for free over at SoundCloud. So volume on!
Hopefully you relax and enjoy.
Hello, I’m Stuart Watson and I live and work in Dumfries, South West Scotland.
I enjoy the outdoors, nature and animals. I used to live near Glasgow and often would travel to Glencoe or the visit the Scottish Islands to photograph whilst hiking or touring around. Since moving to Dumfries, I’ve continued my love of landscape photograph, although the scenery I seek out has changed based on the location, rather than mountain ranges, I have seascapes and rather than Munros, I have hills.
Animals are another interest of mine and I can often be found at Farmersfield Rest-home for Elderly Donkeys mucking out, looking after the animals and generally relaxing.
When I am out with donkeys, dogs, hills or beaches, usually there is a camera in hand.
